The Company:
Our client is currently embarking on one of the largest domestic gas developments on the eastern seaboard on a project which represents around a $3 billion investment in Victoria’s energy future, our client is one of Australia's premier Oil & Gas producers.

The Role:
Our client is looking to engage in a Project Engineer to be based residentially in Melbourne on a long-term contract basis.

As Project Engineer - Pipelines you will be accountable for project leadership and functional delivery including cost, schedule and quality.
You will ensure communication between design, construction, end users, technical stakeholders and other projects, and effectively use the support of the project services group.

Other daily responsibilities encompass:
-Responsible for cost effective execution of the project, delivering a fit-for-purpose facility meeting defined quality standards and minimum life-cycle costs.
-Proactively identify threats, opportunities and clearly identify issues and uncertainties throughout the project lifecycle.
-You will ensure that the planning for the project includes engineering, construction and procurement considerations, early identification of lead times and allows efficient and effective execution.
-You will also ensure that detail design and construction packages are consistent with the design basis.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree Qualified in the relevant Engineering discipline
- Multidiscipline experience
- Exposure to large Onshore Pipeline Projects
- Sound understanding of the financial and commercial impact of project and engineering decisions on project performance
- Wide exposure of major project interfaces and solid understanding of the full range of interface issues
- Experience in the application of regulations and industry codes and standards
- Ability to interpret and use data from cost estimates, project schedules and risk analyses to assist in decision making
