The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
- Work with Product Strategy and the Vehicle APC team to set up an aligned set of initial product assumptions to act as the foundation for developing the project.
- Set up and manage the documentation to track financial, functional and package status, driving inputs from the module leaders.
- Assist in the completion of resource planning data e.g. PAS sheet signoff.
- Lead the resolution of key technical issues
- Lead the activity to plan and prepare for physical (X1) and virtual (UNV0) builds
- Create concise and timely material and present status and plans to key meeting forums both within and outside Powertrain e.g. PT APC planning & tech meeting, vehicle tech meeting, VIT, PST
- Work closely with key customers e.g. Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing & Service to ensure that PT assumptions are compatible and clearly understood.

Skills Required:
- Have a good level of knowledge of Powertrain systems and areas.
- Knowledge of Product Development processes and PCS(GPDS)/GTDS principles are essential in order to support the review and approval of feasible product actions to ensure robust implementation and compatibility with downstream systems through to production.
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment with the ability to interface directly to the vehicle program teams and represent the Powertrain Department
- Good communication, interpersonal skills and self confidence are the personal qualities needed to succeed in this high pressure environment, being self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
- Ability to interface directly to the vehicle programme teams and represent the Powertrain Department
- Experience of program or project management, meeting demanding timescales, budget control and cost effective delivery essential
- Applicants should be able to demonstrate strong business behaviours.
- Applicants need to be qualified to degree level, Computer literate in Google, PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Project.
- Regular inter-site travel means a valid UK driving licence is preferred

Skills Preferred:
- Knowledge of relevant quality tools ie FMEA, FMA Process

Experience Required:
- Powertrain system design / development or programme management.

Experience Preferred:
- The company's specific process knowledge ideally gained in Product Development environment.

Education Required:
- It is anticipated that applicants will be educated to a degree level in an engineering or automotive discipline.
- However candidates with significant Powertrain experience will also be considered.

Additional Information :
- This contract location will be primarily based at Gaydon with limited travel to Jaguar / Land Rover facilities at Whitley as required.
- Applicant to be fully independent in terms of transport and have use of mobile phone to aid communication.
