The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Liaise with the vehicle prog teams to agree system targets and define system content.
Work with core engineering team, suppliers and internal customers to manage delivery of the EMS system on time to agreed targets and within budget including RFQ issue, D&D management, PACN's and vehicle management).
Manage WERS releasing of software and ECU hardware for all V Engine programmes
Report project status and ensure compliance with all GPDS, SDS, eFDVS and APQP requirements.
Work with EMS Team members to deliver all programmes in accordance to GPDS timing.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Self driven with a strong engineering background; will have experience in engine management SW development, excellent team working skills and an understanding of facility, instrumentation and test procedures.
Experience of engine management software and calibration development
Experience of control modelling and simulation (Simulink / Ascet) and Calibration tools
Working knowledge of Gasoline engine / powertrain systems

Previous experience of Engine and Powertrain control systems are considered essential.
Demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of technical, business and process issues within a team environment.
Good communication, interpersonal skills and self confidence are personal qualities needed to succeed, being self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision
Educated to degree level in a suitable engineering discipline, or suitable previous experience.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Working knowledge of development processes / principles (GTDS/PCS)
Knowledge of Calibration tools and Data Analysis tools (Matlab, INCA, CalSim)
Good project management, negotiation and communication skills essential.
Must be a self starter able to work alone and as part of large team.
Good analytical skills & PC literate.
Working knowledge GPDS delivery processes Full Driving licence, Good PC skills; Excel, Word and Project
Working knowledge of Gasoline Hybrid systems
Previous experience of Hybrid systems are considered desirable. A knowledge of vehicle systems would be beneficial
Disciplined approach to planning, prioritisation and evidence generation
Must have driving licence valid for use in the UK
