The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
This role is to support the AJ200 Base Engine Programme Management team in the day to day delivery of the AJ200 programme by maintaining the IT based programme management toolset. Activities may include, but will not be limited to:- Compilation and management of component release trackers. Generation and publication of regular weekly metrics. Chasing D&R Engineers running behind schedule. Construction and maintenance of a prototype spend ledger and generating suitable weekly spend reports for management to ensure that prototype material spend remains within budget. Administration of the issue resultuion system called AIMS. Running twice weekly AIMS start-up meetings, ensuring new AIMS are correctly completed, allocating AIMS to owners etc. Maintaining an engine derivative complexity matrix to include engine derivatives, projected annual sales volumes, and installed capacity by component. Construct and maintain a bill of materials for engine as installed components including part number, description, production piece cost, vendor tooling, etc. maintain the programme timing plan. keep abreast of all changes to vehicle delivery timing programmes and ensure ongoing alignment between engine and vehicle plans

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
This is a key support role with much to be delivered under tight time, resource, and financial constraints. Key to delivery will be a flexible, ""can do"" attitude and the honesty to speak up when unsure and seek guidance. As such:- Some basic project management skills are essential, as are good communication and presentation skills. Highly competent in PC desktop applications e.g. Excel, PowerPoint etc. High levels of personal organisation and motivation are essential. happy to use own initiative to tackle problems and flexible in your approach to achieve the best programme results.
Handling of Excel spreadsheets with several hundred lines of data. Collecting and inputting data to excel spreadsheets. Carry out analysis and calculations within spreadsheets. Experience of having to chase date and manage the people who need to provide you that data.
Preferably educated to degree level. Other higher educational qualifications will be considered depending on other skills and experience o

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Good understanding of the product delivery process ideally including knowledge of the JLR PCS system. A good general knowledge of engine systems and components would be advantageous. Familiarity with key JLR PD IT systems ( AIMS, GPIRS, WERS) will also be beneficial.
