The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
This is a key role in Powertrain PTSE department with responsibility for the delivery to GPDS milestones of the overall Cooling or Fuel System on a number of projects. The role involves a number of key activities - Representing the department in a Project Team forum, negotiation with internal and external team members to ensure compliance with system targets, management of Component Engineers to deliver individual parts to agreed timing commitments to ensure delivery of the overall system, reporting project status to seniors in various forums ensuring that PTSE is not identified as failing to meet project requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Strong Project Management skills and able to control multi-project workload.
Experience of Powertrain Systems is desirable.
The role will require an adaptable individual who is able to deal with a number of diverse tasks and be able to maintain an overall view of project delivery status .
Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role or with a similar scope, construct overall delivery plans and maintain it.
Strong negotiation skills and PC literate in all core packages.
A Team player who is able to get the best out of people.
Understanding of Powertrain/Cooling/Fuel installations desirable with a minimum 3 years in Automotive Engineering.
Flexible, motivated with strong negotiation and meeting skills.
Must be able to foster good working relationships internally and drive suppliers to achieve goals.
Proven ability to manage own workload and monmitor others within delivery team to ensure targets are met.

Experience of managing multi-project portfolios or complex programmes from start to launch.
