The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The role is primarily to coordinate departmental budget inputs across the engine team.
Budget collation is required to support headcount planning, ED&T, protoypes and vendor tooling.
As necessary to deliver cycle plan engine and vehicle application programmes.
The Business Planning Manager, supported by a team of 2 staffs, will work closely with the departmental senior managers and programme managers to capture the budgetary requirements for the projects being worked on or proposed to be worked on.
The inputs will then by synthesised into excel files to show requirements by project, or by sub-department or by skill set (eg designers, development engineers, programme managers etc).
The team will produce management level summary reports and present those reports to the engines senior management team as required.
Additionally the team will coordinate responses to individual project requests using the JLR PDL , PAS and RADS processes. (
Training in the necessary systems will be provided).
Finally the team will assist in, or lead the development of 'budgeting synthetics' and other related process improvements to enable rapid response to cycle plan demands, accurate tracking of programmes and accurate forecasting of future requirements."

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience and successful track record of work in a similar or related role - Eg Budget planning / Financial planning / Banking industry etc.
- Experience of people management (Direct team management and indirect management)
- Experience of management report collation and presentation to senior management teams
- Experience of arranging and chairing meetings

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in an automotive related environment - OEM or Tier 1
Minimum good GCSE passes in Mathematics and English language
Business, Programme management, Finance or IT related qualifications
