The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Lead the PTTO Planning team for a specific engine family, to ensure the robust delivery of prototype engines. Liaise with customers and Engine Build to understand demand/capacity and develop the engine build master schedule. Liaise with PT Engine Build to understand short-term build issues (capacity/shortages) and define build priorities communicating all schedule changes effectively. Support the ongoing development and enhancement of the prototype engine planning process. Champion the BOM creation and change management process and ensure adherence. Chair GPIRS BOM validations, Green List and PBM meetings as required, and own report-out to all stakeholders. Management escalation of all issues outside of the Planning and Build teams control. Ensure clear line of communication into Programs, PVO, VE and Engineering CoC¿s. Represent PTTO in senior forums where Team Leader is unable to attend

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of powertrain systems and BOM. Comprehensive knowledge of Product Development structure and processes. Comprehensive systems understanding of GPIRS / WERS release / WIPS system. Knowledge of JLR PCS (Product Creation System) and prototype build process desirable. Automotive Powertrain Engineering Background Experience with Engine Build

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Self motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active, demonstrates initiative, with ability to work independently. Educated to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate discipline. Excellent project management skills, thorough and logical approach to issues, good attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, PC literate, especially MS Office. Capable of representing PTTO in meetings at Senior Reviews with confidence and credibility. Flexible with respect to travel (Gaydon, & Whitley primarily but potential travel to Solihull, Browns Lane). Full driving license
