The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Lead the PT Prototype Build Support team to ensure the robust delivery of prototype Powertrains into PVO. Develop the Vehicle Off Road (VOR) and Rework Planning processes for all PT physical prototypes. Set up and facilitate PT Build Handover Reviews for all Prototype builds Liaise with customers and PVO to understand demand/capacity and develop the build support schedule. Chair PT Build Planning Status Meetings, and own report-out to all stakeholders. Management escalation of all issues outside of the Prototype Build Support teams control. Ensure clear line of communication into Programs, PVO, VE and Engineering CoC¿s. Support the ongoing development and enhancement of the prototype engine planning process. Represent PTTO in senior forums where Manager is unable to attend. Candidates should preferably be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate discipline.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of powertrain systems and BOM. Comprehensive knowledge of Product Development structure and processes. Comprehensive systems understanding of GPIRS / WERS release / WIPS system. Knowledge of PCS (Product Creation System) and prototype build process desirable. Comprehensive knowledge of prototype build planning activities. Good understanding of vehicle programme and engineering team requirements. Automotive Powertrain Engineering Background Experience with Prototype Vehicle Operations (PVO)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Self motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active, demonstrates initiative, with ability to work independently. Educated to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate discipline. Excellent project management skills, thorough and logical approach to issues, good attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, PC literate, especially MS Office. Capable of representing PTTO in meetings at Senior Reviews with confidence and credibility. Flexible with respect to travel (Gaydon, & Whitley primarily but potential travel to Solihull, Browns Lane). Full driving license." Prototype Build Planning and Support
