The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The primary function of this role is to be responsible for the planning of all Powertrain content on one of three vehicle platforms including engine dress and vehicle builds. This will involve:- Working with the engineering team to validate the BOM to ensure robustness. Develop a cost of each build and ensure costs are on releases to support builds. Manage handover of X1 build planning from APC Work with Engine team to ensure vehicle requirements are covered in their plans and meet build timing requirements Lead the ordering of long lead items outside of the MPL route and ensure order transfer over to MPL once within the 12 week schedule window. Support green list meetings and manage Powertrain actions Support Add and Delete meetings and manage Powertrain actions. Liaise with JET reps to ensure smooth handover to build team. Work with engineers to ensure all engineer to supply parts are available in the correct stores to support the build. Maintain lessons learnt process and ensure information fed back to next build.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have the capability to drive and motivate the team to achieve results and continually implement process improvements. They should be determined to achieve deadlines and be pro-active in anticipating and preventing any build stopping issues. They will also need to ensure that the quality of the product is not compromised by the ability to achieve the timing plan. Full, valid driving licence essential
Good knowledge of Automotive products Experience in technical problem identification and resolution, experience in meeting deadlines, flexibility and willingness to work at other company sites as required by the vehicle builds
Engineering degree preferred but not essential

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Good understanding of Prototype Vehicle Operations processes and PCS desirable Ground-up vehicle build experience, experience in using Digi-buck GPIRS and raising AIMS desirable, experience of WERS system- desirable, mastering on car activity appreciation desirable, excellent communication and presentation skills Proficient in the use of MS Excel & PowerPoint
