The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Analysis of Powertrain Systems developing issues and warranty to identity potential projects. Use problem solving tools to confirm root cause and identify interim &/or permanent solutions. Develop/verify and introduce these changes. The scope covers all company vehicles both in and post production, with primary focus on new model introduction. It is also necessary to ensure that escape points are identified and formally passed onto the development team for lessons learnt. The role will also include resolving production concerns and may require overseas trips and visits to other company sites.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Powertrain systems and diagnostics with at least 5 years previous experience DMAIC problem solving ability, trained to a min of green belt or equivalent. Having previously worked with/alongside a OEM SW supplier, communicate the outcome of any investigation in such a manner that none fact holder/non system experts can understand the message being given, this should be primarily through the 8D process.
A minimum of 2 years data driven problem solving giving examples of such projects and role in project Having worked with the company or other similar OEM for at least 5 years in powertrain transmission systems
Engineering degree, consideration will be given to applicants without a degree subject to experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Able to work with the ETAS INCA toolset to determine the calibration settings being used in engine / transmission calibrations. Working knowledge of company powertrain systems, working knowledge of company warranty system (AWS) & Engineering release (WERS)
