The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Reporting to the Launch Leader for Powertrain, the applicant will work, with a minimum of supervision, in all aspects of Powertrain launch team engineering. Key Responsibilities include: Resolution of pre-production build concerns, identifying and implementing containment, root cause and permanent corrective action in conjunction with appropriate Engineering and Supplier resource. Pre-build BOM validation. Dry-build validation. Pre-PSW part supply. Liaison between NMP team and Engineering on critical actions. Support AME in resolution of internal quality issues related to PCPA, Dynamic Audit and Manufacturing FTT.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidates will need to demonstrate -
1:- Strong technical knowledge and experience of working in a vehicle powertrain Design or Development environment that was responsible for either engines, transmission & driveline or integration (fuel, cooling intake exhaust).
2:- A good knowledge of problem solving methods & tools and be able to demonstrate they have applied them effectively.
3:- Must be highly proficient in using standard business software (Excel, Powerpoint etc).
4:- Must be capable of working with data to produce accurate analysis of issues and trends.
5:- They are strong team players and are able to interact confidently and effectively with others at all levels within the organisation
Experience in a Powertrain Engineering Design/Development function.
Candidates must be qualified to at least HND level in Engineering.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Previous experience working with client systems would be an advantage.
Experience working in a production environment would be an advantage.
1:- An engineering degree would be desirable 2:- 6 Sigma qualified or trained.
