The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Powertrain Warranty Recovery Engineer. Management of the P/T Warranty Recovery roadmap. Compiling weekly and monthly status reports. Project management recovery projects. Organising & chairing project status review meetings with CoC areas and support functions. Liaison with Central Quality, Suppliers, Purchasing and Engineering. Setting up and facilitating Supplier Visits (WRAP events).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Technical background preferably with knowledge of Powertrain engineering systems.
Competent IT skills especially in the use of MS Excel (eg pivot tables), Word and Powerpoint.
Experience in collating and presenting analysis findings for verbal and written communication to others and be able to compile and present high quality reports for management consumption.
Competent negotiating skills. DMAIC problem solving capability (Green Belt level). Self motivated, driven and diligent.
Takes personal responsibility to progress projects through to delivery in a challenging environment.
Must be able to engage individuals at all levels of the business and chair progress meetings with client & Supplier managers.
Must be able to form effective relationships with key individuals and departments.
Proven ability to lead supplier negotiations. Experience of working within an engineering, warranty returns/analysis or product development.
Experience in detailed data analysis to identif

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
An understanding of design principles and the application of quality tools within an engineering environment.
Experience in using client Analytical Warranty System (AWS) would be of benefit.
