The Role:
Powertrain Air-Induction system component engineer, responsible for design & development of Air induction, filtration and charge systems and components, for application in Ford vehicles worldwide.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidates should have working knowledge of; Powertrain Air Indcution systems design and function. AIS component design, test & development
Candidates must have a minimum of HND in a Mechanical or Fluid Engineering discipline, ideally educated to Degree level.
Component engineering and development skills, preferably in plastic or flexible hose/duct components. Knowledge of Powertrain air handling and charge systems & technologies (preferred but not essential). Experience with the tools of engineering quality (FMEA, 8D, 6-Sigma, etc) Excellent administrative skills and level of organization. Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Ford Releasing system (WERS) a distinct advantage. Working knowledge of Ford Motor Company processes e.g. eFDVS, GPDS, etc (preferred but not essential). Experience of delivering NVH targets.
Knowledge of Air Handling component manufacturing and durability requirements would be a distinct advantage.
