The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
As part of an established, motivated and fast moving team, the successful candidate would work for an experienced team leader to help deliver engine standards and test methods across the whole of the base engine design & development teams. This role will work with all sections within the team to generate and assist in the generation of standards and Test Procedures including the sign off process for each engine system. This role will also act as conduit to our Offshore technical team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Good understanding of engine functionality.
Experience in engine testing & development. Good comprehension of the English language / literacy skills Well versed with Microsoft Office skills, primarily Word and Exce. lExperience of component design to meet performance and attribute targets. Good understanding of engine plastic / formed tubes / hoses / cast / machined components and requirements. Excellent communication skills. Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office and MSProject. Good understanding of design quality tools such as DFMEA, Robustness Studies etc. Need to be committed & self motivated with an ability to work with minimal supervision.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Test procedure generation. Good planning & communication skills Experience of Design for Six Sigma.
