The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer, from a Process Engineering background, to work for a CSG-LNG Project Owner in Brisbane.

This Process Engineer will manage the performance of conceptual studies for future project phases, as well as executing optimisation studies for the current scope of work. These studies will both be performed by the company and external organisations, where necessary. The successful candidate will provide process engineering support to the project, as well as the organisation as a whole.

Taking up a long term contract position, the successful candidate will be provided with the opportunity to work for an international Oil & Gas project owner, at the forefront of the industry here in Australia.

To be successful in this role you will:
• Carry out gap analyses of project documentation against Standards. Identifying areas for improvement and preparing dispensations where necessary
• Review and comment on key engineering deliverables across Upstream Engineering scope to ensure deliverables are of sufficient quality, are adding value to the design process
• Manage performance of specific 3rd party Project-wide engineering related studies, including RAM modelling, steady-state and transient flow assurance modelling and dynamic simulation of the facilities where appropriate
• Promote the use of HSSE and Engineering Standards. Provide expertise on the content and application of Engineering and Asset Integrity standards.
• Proactively identify areas that may require dispensation. Prepare risk assessments and ALARP demonstrations for inclusion in dispensation requests. Work closely with ATA for Technical Safety to obtain dispensations in a timely manner.
• Review granted dispensations to ensure requirements of permanent dispensations are being met and actions for temporary dispensations are being carried out to achieve compliance. Produce evidence of compliance for discussion with ATA and GTA.
• Support Engineering and Project Execution Teams in preparation for functional assurance and readiness reviews (EFR5a, RR6 etc.). Take part in assurance reviews as part of project team.
• Take part in internal functional reviews in an assurance role as Process Engineer as part of review team.
• Along with members of his/her team to provide process support to other parts of the Upstream Engineering team. This may involve direct assistance or management of the work 3rd parties. Specific areas will include flow assurance studies, HazOp attendance and implementation of study outcome into the design
• Assist the TRP and Upstream Projects EPcm TA for Process Engineering in developing project-wide process engineering related procedures and philosophies

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Wide exposure to diverse technical and business environments and with significant experience of executing conceptual and front-end process design
• Verifiable record in engineering and successful development and delivery of a number of green-field and brown-field projects
• Experience of operating within and interacting with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Experience of working in onshore gas production and associated facilities in a client/operator environment
• Experience in application of process engineering management practices and in value improvement tools and practices
Tertiary qualifications applicable to the process engineering discipline
• Good understanding of flow assurance, separation, EPcm and dehydration technologies, policies and business principles, with appropriate standards and guidelines
• Ability to interface across a wide range of disciplines including petroleum engineering, well engineering, operations, commercial and economics

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Chartered member of a relevant engineering institution
