The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
TASE ENGINEER - The SVO Thermal & Aerodynamic Systems Engineering team is part of the VE attributes group. It has delivery ownership for Thermal and Aerodynamic attributes across all SVO vehicle programs. TASE attribute requirements include the overall drag and lift characteristics of the vehicle, the provision for cooling airflow for powertrain, drive line and brakes, and the management of component temperatures. It has responsibilities ranging from concept development, vehicle target creation/balancing through to attribute delivery, final engineering sign-off, prototype build planning. The successful candidate will be expected to work with SVO TASE PAT Leaders, the other members of the SVO and Core TASE CFD/CAE team, to deliver vehicle programmes during their Virtual Series with regards to the TASE Attributes. This can include Aerodynamic performance, cooling performance, brake cooling, under body component thermal management and infotainment cooling. Undertaking geometry preparation for CFD and heat management analysis, Analysis of TASE attribute performance with the CAE toolset, Report preparation and working with PAT leaders and COCs to provide technical solutions. The candidate will be able to show experience in one or more of these areas with further training provided to master those remaining as necessary.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Knowledge and understanding of thermodynamic and aerodynamic principles.
2. Experience in the use of CFD software is essential.
3. Experience in the use of CFD software is essential.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of the existing TASE CFD/CAE toolset (Powerflow). Experience of working with Design, Exterior Trim or Powertrain Cooling would be beneficial. Experience of working with Chassis Systems Engineering regarding brake cooling would be beneficial. Applicants are expected to be self-motivated, flexible and demonstrate the ability to carry out tasks with minimal supervision. Experience of PCDS, AIMs and the Virtual Series process would be beneficial
