The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a project Engineer (Structural) for an Oil & Gas client to be based within the UK

Duration: 12 months rolling contract
Location: South West London occasion trips to Norway
Day Rate: negotiable

The Project Engineer (Structures) is a key member of the Subsea Construction PMT which is responsible for delivering the subsea systems in accordance with Q&HSE expectations.
Responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective execution of project scopes and communication of project goals and expectations,
Provide exemplary leadership to contractors and vendors to facilitate successful scope delivery,
Ensure the installation contractor has a competent organisation and a high standard of resources in-place to successfully execute the work,
Manage the contractor project execution performance and scope delivery,
Manage the plan and facilities for in-country mobilization of necessary personnel and equipment
Maintain awareness and promote conformance to company expectations and requirements of Safe Design and Quality Build within the Subsea Construction Team and the contractors,
Track and manage technical risks, drive integrity and reliability through clients processes such as TRAP’s, constructability reviews and FMECA’s,
Will be delegation of authority for Project Engineer Team Lead as and when required.
Manage all the preparation work for the installation of the subsea cluster structures and SSIV structures. For this particular package the Project Engineer is responsible for:
Managing the installation engineering and procedure development to assure timely delivery of approved procedures for mobilisation and execution of the works
Readiness planning & co-ordination of Pre Startup Assurance Checklists prior to campaign execution.
Managing the key interface with the supplier of the subsea manifold system
Managing the key interface with the design & fabrication of the SSIVs
Managing the key interface with the fabricator of the SSIVs
Maintaining close contact with the Engineering Team to ensure timely approval of engineering queries, deviations and approval of contractor documents,
Support the offshore installation and testing of the subsea manifold system
Support the offshore installation and testing of the SSIVs
Support the pre-commissioning and survey scopes for subsea structures
Manage the subsea structures integrity to ensure no latent defects are passed in to operations
Managing the schedule for installation of the subsea structures
Managing and tracking of the execution costs including the assessment of contractor variations, invoices and deliverables
As a member of the Subsea Construction PMT the project engineer will be required to support areas of delivery outside direct responsibility including:
Building a competent Subsea Construction PMT to deliver the complete scope
Review of installation engineering and procedures outside of the package responsibility
Supporting other team members to deliver their areas of responsibility
Support to general management of the installation contractor, sub-contractors and vendors

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering degree and professional status accreditation with a recognised institution
A minimum of 5years subsea engineering and offshore installation experience
Proven capability of contractor management and execution of offshore construction activities
