The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) Division operates as a 'business within the business', set up with a nimble/commercially minded outlook to leverage the increasing desire of our customers to personalise their vehicles.

Key strategy elements include :-
* Push the boundaries of the Brands to create high premium Niche 'Halo' Performance & Luxury vehicles.
* Develop a range of Option Packs to enhance the Sporting and Lifestyle attributes of our vehicle range
* Enhance premium customer experience through vehicle personalisation and exclusivity
* Design and develop profitable range of vehicle accessories

The department continues to undertake significant growth and has circa 50 projects in delivery at any one time. The Programme Timing Engineer role will be key to supporting all Programme teams in co-ordination and delivery of the deliverable programme plans on all platforms. The role reports the Programme Planning Manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 1 years experience working in a similar role within the automotive or a related industry, with demonstrable track record of delivery. The successful candidate will have the ability to influence the broader team when delivering platform/vehicle line objectives. Therefore, leadership, good communication, interpersonal skills, self-confidence and a 'passion for the product' are personal qualities that are needed to succeed. The applicant needs to be self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision, as well as the ability to motivate others to deliver to their requirements. Previous experience within a project management, engineering, or manufacturing related environment is considered desirable with a good knowledge of the product development process and PCDS. It is anticipated candidates with be educated to Degree Level, or HNC/ HND with significant experience.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience of project or supplier management with a track record of meeting demanding timescales would be beneficial.
* Ideally educated to degree or equivalent level.
* Knowledge of project delivery & change management processes including PCS/PCDS an advantage
* Be able to demonstrate high levels of leadership and people development skills.
