The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Project Engineer within the Special Vehicle Operations Powertrain Applications department, working on SVO exhaust systems. The Powertrain Applications department is responsible for delivery of SVO exhaust and air induction systems within SVO. The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for the management and delivery of a Powertrain subsystem for a SVO exhaust programme."

Experience Required: "Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent. At least 2 years in automotive. Experience of managing suppliers through development and delivery of automotive systems. Knowledge of manufacturing processes. Familiarity with problem solving and quality tools e.g. DFMEA, PFMEA, 6-sigma... GD&T (General Dimensioning & Tolerances) Computer Literacy i.e. Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint"

Experience Preferred: "Experience with exhausts and/or other Powertrain systems. Familiarity with WERS, APQP, AIMS etc"

Additional Information : The successful candidate will be comfortable presenting up to senior management, with experience of summarising complex issues and providing recommendations on how to proceed. A proactive approach to resolving problems and maintaining supplier relationships will be required. Initially the job will be based almost exclusively at Gaydon, but there is a chance we will move to Fen End in the future.
