The Company:
A global Oil & Gas operator with extensive operations in the Caspian Region.

The Role:
The Project Engineer T&I (Subsea) is a key member of the Transport and Installation PMT which is responsible for delivering the offshore Transport and Installation workscope in accordance with company Q&HSE expectations.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

General

• Responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective execution of project scopes and communication of project goals and expectations,
• Provide exemplary leadership to contractors and vendors to facilitate successful scope delivery,
• Ensure the installation contractor has a competent organisation and a high standard of resources in-place to successfully execute the work,
• Manage the contractor project execution performance and scope delivery,
• Manage the plan and facilities for in-country mobilization of necessary personnel and equipment
• Maintain awareness and promote conformance to company expectations and requirements of Safe Design and Quality Build within the T&I Team and the contractors,
• Promote, demonstrate and ensure compliance with all appropriate elements of the company, Operating Management System (OMS), including Risk Management, Continuous Improvement and Management of Change,
• Track and manage technical risks, drive integrity and reliability through company processes such as constructability reviews
• Will be delegation of authority for Project Engineer Team Lead as and when required.

Project Management

• Manage all the preparation work for the installation of the Subsea Facilities from the Derrick Barge Azerbaijan. For this particular package the Project Engineer is responsible for:
• Managing the installation engineering and procedure development to assure timely delivery of approved procedures for mobilisation and execution of the works
• Readiness planning & co-ordination of Pre Startup Assurance Checklists prior to campaign execution.
• Managing the key interface with the Installation Contractor for the installation engineering for
 Manifolds, SSIVs, supports & foundations and miscellaneous subsea facilities
• Maintaining close contact with the Engineering Team to ensure timely approval of engineering queries, deviations and approval of contractor documents,
• Support the offshore installation of the subsea facilities
• Support the pre-commissioning and survey scopes for subsea facilities
• Provide direction for the schedule for installation of the subsea facilitities
• Track the execution costs including the assessment of contractor variations, invoices and deliverables
• As a member of the T&I PMT the project engineer will be required to support areas of delivery outside direct responsibility including:
• Building a competent T&I PMT to deliver the complete scope
• Review of installation engineering and procedures outside of the package responsibility
• Supporting other team members to deliver their areas of responsibility
• Support to general management of the installation contractor, sub-contractors and vendors

• Proactively demonstrates sophisticated decision-making and leadership skills needed to address complex stakeholder groups and issues associated with Major Projects,
• Ability to intervene in critical situations in order to redirect focus and achieve the required result,
• A high level of proven communication, interpersonal and people management skills,
• Financial and commercial awareness,

• Computer literate,

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Engineering degree or equivalent
• A minimum of 7 years subsea engineering and offshore installation experience
• Proven capability of contractor management and execution of offshore construction activities

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience working in CIS regions
Experience working directly for a major operator
