Saudi Aramco is seeking an experienced Telecommunication Engineering Specialist to work with the Project Management Team (PMT) driving the development and leadership of capital projects.
- The Telecommunication Engineering Specialist will have profound technical understanding of communications disciplines, and be able to use his or her knowledge to design, develop and deliver solutions, as well as provide technical assistance and guidance to others within the PMTs at Saudi Aramco. The engineer shall also have a comprehensive technical knowledge and understanding of wireless communications technologies (radio, microwave and satellite systems), fiber optic transmission systems, data networking, VoIP technology, Internet/computing technologies, and infrastructure/ backbone facilities. You will have the experience and ability to implement technology based solutions. Have experience and be familiar with leading equipment manufacturers/vendors. Be able to perform risk assessments to ensure systems are fit to propose. Evaluate and select telecommunication systems hardware and software for different applications. Facilitate communications with employees and other departments by holding or attending meetings, preparing reports, and participating on task forces. Participate in the budgeting and purchasing process. Manage resources, including budgets, physical resources and staff. Prepare high-quality written reports and presentations for management and customer review, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed standards of quality.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The telecommunication engineer will work on a number of projects within the Project Management Departments involving wireless systems, data networking, fiber optic transmission system design and implementation. They are expected to have the flexibility to work on other projects of the Project Management organization. Other aspects include the design and execution of detailed engineering designs for communication systems. Provide project progress report, project milestone and conduct critical path analysis. Evaluate and select system hardware and software for deployment. Develop, implement and provide system specification for communication systems. Review the project design document and provide comments, guidelines and enhancements. Manage projects and attend regular meetings to discuss the best way to move projects forward. Work closely and coordinate with other departments to ensure project requirements are met. Facilitate communications with employees and other departments by holding or attending meetings, preparing reports, and participating on task forces. Participate in the budgeting and purchasing process. Work with contractor/vendors to ensure equipment is installed and operating properly. Develop and execute technical presentations to internal/external departments
