The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
The Toolroom / BIW department provides a prototype component and toolmaking service to Product Development. Working primarily with grades of Aluminium & Steel the team of 60 associates produce prototype press tooling, BIW components, fabrications and offer a general machining service to a broad customer base of company engineers. The department is equipped with a broad range of CNC and sheetmetal forming equipment and produces over 150,000 prototype components tools each year. Process planning and work scheduling are key to the effective utilisation of this resource and the company is seeking to appoint an experienced engineer with experience of planning / work scheduling in a prototype or toolroom type environment. The successful candidate will require a sound appreciation of a broad range of metal working processes as well as experience of work planning / scheduling.

Skills Required:
- Recent experience of metal working processes used in a prototyping environment (e.g. milling / turning / presswork / sheet metal / fabrication work etc).
- Experience of work planning and/or work scheduling in a prototyping environment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, view & interpret CAD data, good communication skills, good PC skills including MS Office.
- Enthusiasm, initiative & dedication.

Skills Preferred:
- Driving licence, able to use basic CAD (an advantage though not essential)

Experience Required:
- Recent experience of metal working processes used in a prototyping environment (e.g. milling / turning / presswork / sheet metal / fabrication work etc).
- Experience of work planning and/or work scheduling in a prototyping environment.

Education Required:
Minimum - City & Guilds qualification in a recognised engineering discipline
