The Company:
Our client are the manufacturers and retailers of an instantly recognisable, global icon in the automotive industry and have been for more than 70 years, due to continuous growth they have are recruiting across all areas of their business

The Role:
To take engineering responsibility of all trim related items. To solve any problems that arise from production and assembly of these parts. continually improve and develop the trim within the vehicle to meet the needs of the customers

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sole engineer responsible for all areas of the vehicle trim i.e. carpets, seats, facia, door trim & seals etc
• Daily and ongoing problem resolution, correctly determine the roots cause of a problem, introduce a robust solution to the problem and implement it into production.
• Design responsibility of an Trim Engineering change and BOM alterations and amendments.
• 3D & 2D design responsibility of any new components, working in conjunction with joint venture in China.
• Travel to china maybe required depending on business needs from tie to time

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Competent user of Catia V5 essential.
• Previous experience of general automotive trim essential.
• Minimum 3 Years experience within an Automotive OEM environment
• Good Communicator
• Team worker – key with interface between UK and China teams.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
