The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
The Role:
Project management of Vehicle Weight targets and deliverables, including future target setting and balancing Calculation of mass properties from geometry and from First principles Generation and maintenance of Vehicle Mass Properties models Cascade and track vehicle weight requirements to other engineers Status reporting and issue resolution up to senior management level Co-ordinate and chair Design Efficiency Reviews, using company and competitor data, to assist engineers in vehicle light-weighting Support Mass Certification activity.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Self-motivated engineer with strong communication skills Experience of engineering, testing and evaluation including good understanding of Mass Properties Knowledge of technologies associated with the automotive sector, especially relating to weight reduction Proven project and time management skills and able to work to a high standard with minimum supervision Able to prioritise own time and work load Deliver under pressure and to challenging deadlines Prepared to travel to all pf the clients sites Full UK driving license Skilled in Microsoft Excel.
Experience of vehicle engineering, ideally in a weight-sensitive area.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Preferred discipline: Mechanical Engineering.
