The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The position is to support the Durability & Reliability Functional Test Manager who has the responsibility for the planning, delivery & reporting of the Durability & Reliability functional driven vehicle testing.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to plan, manage, execute & report out of driven functional tests conducted on proving grounds (e.g water wading, gradient restarts & trailer assessments) Ability to plan and manage rig based complete vehicle level tests Good knowledge of Automotive Technologies and vehicle rig & driven testing including the principles of Verification and Validation. Understanding of Automotive Vehicle systems and a practical knowledge of motor vehicles. Ability to write concise, objective technical test reports Excellent communication & presentation skills.
Proving ground vehicle testing Experience in following a range of driven durability test procedures Experience of vehicle preperation for test including use of instrumentation (race logic) Knowledge & hands on experience in Canalyser & INCA diagnostic tools Proficient with MS office Trailer towing driving licence (B+E) is advantageous.
Minimum HNC/HND in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering dependent on experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of test laboratory structural rig testing. Knowledge of data analysis tools such as Carmaker & Matlab.
Ability to analyse test result data using tools such as Carmaker & Matlab. Ability to correlate results against Virtual simulations to enhance predictive tools & subsequent target setting.
Applicant must be flexible in working hours as much of the test work is conducted at multi-site locations
