The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
The role involves working as part of a small team that review and benchmark all outsource component test activities to ensure Value For Money. The role involves the following:
- Conduct complete analysis of component test activities i.e quantities, cost.
- Lead / support engineering discussions on component testing requirements.
- Lead / support discussions with internal facility managers / team to ensure internal facilities are fully utilised.
- Lead / support cost discussions with JLR test sites and JLR component suppliers.
- Lead / support strategic discussions regarding component test requirements.
- Deliver all required administration, task management and planning.
- You may be required to travel within and outside of the UK

Skills Required:
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Good analytic / numerical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, self-motivated and a passion for the role
- An intermediate knowledge level in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Able to deliver excellent results whilst meeting tight deadlines
- A team player, totally flexible, committed and motivated to deliver in all circumstances especially within a small team environment.

Skills Preferred:
- Good Presentation Skills
- Good organisational & prioritisation skills

Experience Required:
- Experience of Supplier management & negotiation
- Good commercial experience
- Previous experience of working in a team environment yet able to deliver excellent results with complete autonomy.
- Experience of working to tight deadlines

Additional Information :
Should have a valid UK driving licence "Role will require some travel between Gaydon & Whitley This is a 40 hour a week contract with a 3:30pm

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Ideally have a degree in a relevant subject

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Automotive Components advantageous
- Experience of working with Automotive Suppliers
- Automotive Industry experience, preferably within JLR
- Experience of JLR systems and processes
