The Company:
Our client is a leading global oil and gas operating company.

The Role:
Position Title: Well Line Upgrade and Well Tie-in Project Engineer

Purpose: Provide project engineering support to the Well Tie-in (WTI) and Well Line Upgrade (WLUG) program.

Position Description: The WTI/WLUG Project Engineer is expected to collaborate with representatives of other
companies, departments, and disciplines in order to support the execution of the GKA well tie-in and well line
upgrade projects from conception to closure. Between 20 and 30 WTI and WLUG projects are executed annually
with a total installed cost of $500K to $3,000K each.

Start Date: Immediately Duration: 1-2 years

Travel: The GKA WTI/WLUG Project Engineer is expected to spend 4 to 8 days at Kuparuk per month.

Responsibilities
• Support the Company Incident Free Culture.
• Coordinate with the Greater Kuparuk Area (GKA) Development Group to identify well work that requires
Capital Project Organization (CPO) support.
• Work with Operations, Engineering, and other stakeholders to define, document, and gain alignment on the
scope of work for new WTI and WLUG projects.
• Coordinate with Company estimating and the GKA Development Group to develop total facility cost estimates
and secure funding for WTI and WLUG projects.
• Integrate the planning and scheduling of engineering, procurement, and construction activities across the
WTI/WLUG program to support the leveling of resources and to ensure the timely completion of critical
activities.
• Ensure that engineering, design, and procurement are completed on schedule as required to support
construction requirements.
• Review construction estimates.
• Coordinate the engineering support required to resolve construction issues.
• Monitor WTI and WLUG projects for cost and schedule trends.
• Identify and document lessons learned and best practices for the engineering, procurement, and
construction of the WLUG/WTI program.
• Ensure that all project deliverables are completed and that the projects are closed out in a timely manner.
• Ensure that the project execute meets all applicable process and procedures.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Understanding of technical discipline engineering such as process engineering, piping design, instrument
and electrical design, materials procurement and construction support.
• Background in facility design, facilities operations or construction work.
• Ability to concurrently complete multiple projects.
• Ability to work closely with engineering contractors, construction organization, operations, maintenance,
drilling, and petroleum engineering groups.
• Firm understanding of business objectives with a desire to develop good projects through the application of
engineering and project management techniques.
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to resolve barriers to progress that arise on a daily basis.
• Ability to follow written project procedures should be accompanied by open thinking and willingness to
challenge accepted practices to generate new ideas to improve business and project performance
• Strong communication sk

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• PMP Certification.
• 5+ years project related experience.
• 3+ years experience in upstream oil and gas industry capital projects.
