The Company:
Our client is one of the leading oil & gas construction companies in Azerbaijan. They are currently working on a construction of deep water jackets in the Caspian Sea.

The Role:
Ensure, in close coordination with the relevant Corporate function, the management of project engineering, granting the coordination of engineering activities, including subsea construction and pipeline design, able to effectively meet the targets in project’s execution. Provide engineering competences to support inspection and installations offshore, when required.
Ensure that the most appropriate technical and cost effective engineering solutions are identified and implemented and that all activities needed are carried out in line with set objectives.
Ensure the necessary interface with Procurement function for requisitioning activities and for preparing the specifications for materials and project services. Liaise with and co-ordinate the activities of vendors and subcontractors as and when required.
Liaise with Document Control department to ensure all engineering documentation is retained in a correct and organised manner.
To witness and co-ordinate all activities within the IMS Policy, Procedures and Work Instruction.

Manages and supervises the engineering activities to support the construction work and to define the solution of engineering problems arise during construction.
A - Development Technology know how & Commercial support
B - Feasibility
C - Bidding phase / Commercial proposal development
D - Project Execution

1) Participate to Detail Engineering Phase for Construction related issues;
2) Prepares the Field Engineering Execution plan and defines the necessary resources. Identifies the planning issues in terms of field engineering;

E - Construction & start up
-Ensures the interfaces with the Construction team ( HSE, Construction Engineering, Site material management, Quality Control, Construction Supervision and Commissioning & start up) and assist it as needed;
-Manages the site queries including material substitution. Reverts to the Head Office or Site Engineering Team when needed for securing the technical answers;
-Keeps record of the changes and additions made to the documents as a result of construction and commissioning requirements until the "as built" drawings are prepared;
-Check the conformity and congruence of technical documentation received from Head Office making it available to the Discipline Superintendent;
-Ensures the analysis of engineering, materials and construction nonconformities encountered on site assuring the involvement of the competent Head Office department in the determination and approval of corrective action;
-Analyses the technical aspects of the feasibility of the construction work, providing information on the actual on-site availability of documents and materials;
-Coordinates the engineering activities for site procurement;
-Send, for approval, to the competent Head Office department proposed design modifications before carrying out the work;
-Coordinates Field Specialist Engineer activities in relation with changes to technical documents, feasibility technical analysis, non-conformities, review and approval of test packages;
-Ensures interface with vendor's representatives together with the relevant Field Specialist Engineer or Discipline Superintendent;
-Collaborates with Construction Manager to plan the material collection from warehouse, evaluating the need to purchase in case of shortage;
-Activate back charge notifications to vendors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
University Degree (Bachelors) in a relevant field.
Experience with Construction, Site Material Management
