The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a Project Engineering Manager to join the North West Office

As part of a long term alliance with a major Oil & Gas client based in Kuwait we are undertaking major revamp and modification/upgrade projects to help modernize the client’s Main Gathering Center located at Wafra, Kuwait with many sub-centers throughout the three main oil fields that require modifications and further expansion.

The candidate will be a degree qualified Engineering Manager with a proven track record in brownfield onshore oil and gas development projects to help support and grow a UK based project engineering teams that will execute FEED and detailed design projects as part of the overall modernisation project.

Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:

Produced water handling
Gas Processing including sulphur removal
Heavy Oil
Steam generating plant
E&I infrastructure projects
We also handle most innovative projects involving Concept/ FEED studies, EPC Detailed Design Projects and Process Safety and Risk management as part of the overall project scope of works.

Listed below are the core responsibilities required for this role:

Successful candidate must be degree qualified with significant relevant experience, and proven or innovated methods of Project Control and Technical Management.

HSE Management – Maintains HSE Focus within the team to ensure HSE requirements are included in the design and procurement.

Competency to lead and coordinate disciplines and relevant experience.

Proactively resolves performance, scope and schedule issues with the Client as they arise. Identifies documents, communicates and meets the client’s requirements.

Ability to interface and negotiate with client and disciplines to achieve quality, cost and schedule goals for project

Scope Management – Complies with Technical Stewardship Plan and requirements of the contract. Managing change control process.

Quality management – Contributes to compliance with policies and procedures.

Team Management – Focuses team on achievement of milestones and other key project objectives. Listens to the team, discusses the issues, resolves problems and directs activities to remove roadblocks and achieves objectives.

Risk Management – Monitors closure of all identified risks and opportunities.

Design Management – Sets clear objectives for the design team including achieving productivity and budget targets. Ensures design team is aware of, and complying with client’s Basis of Design and applicable regulations and codes. Manages inter-discipline interfaces effectively.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent level education
Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
IT Literate with MS Office suite, interface management programmes, Risk Management software etc.
Articulate and able to communicate and influence at all levels
Demonstrable experience of managing multiple vendor and contractor interfaces
