The Role:
This role is based in the Engineering Contractors Office

The Role:
Reporting to the HSSE manager and will act as the project focal point for Safety, with specific focus on supporting the design and preparations for future major Construction work. Provide an overall coordination role for the HSSE teams input into key project deliverables.

Responsibilities:
Provide Safety support and coordinate timely input of the HSSE team members to the project documents including Statement of Requirements, Basis of Design and Project Execution Plan
Update and maintain the HSSE Management plan for the current and future project stages.
Provide HSSE support for the prequalification process for all main Contracts. Benchmark prospective yards and identify key HSSE risk factors with regard to particular Contractors performance.
Ensure that the Project complies with the HSE Management System and identify the documents that the Project would be expected to comply with. Also identify applicable good practice that should be adopted by the Project “in principle”.
Establish an HSSE audit plan for the project. Perform audits to the plan, including ad-hoc audits in areas such as permit to work and integrity management compliance.
Maintenance and improvement of Key contractors KPI's for performance monitoring including e.g. contractor HSE risk matrix including to include all worksites that fall within the project reporting “sphere of influence”
Reviewing accident/incident reports, analysis of trends, identification of key contractor performance issues and supporting development of mitigating strategies and programmes.
Facilitate the development of Performance Improvement Plans for contracting companies performing below expectation
Review the project compliance against Major Projects Common Process requirements for current design phase and identify relevant gaps. Develop an action plan to facilitate timely closure of gaps identified.
Act as the Risk champion within the HSSE team for input into the Project Risk Management Tool. Maintain the HSSE teams “Top Ten” risks and ensure that they are reviewed by the team on a monthly basis. Monitor actions to ensure timely close out.
Act as the focal point for Regulatory Compliance. Work with the specialist Permit and Consent consultant to ensure that the project complies with requirements of all regulatory Permits and Consents.
Work with the project planner to build key permit and consent dates into the overall project schedule.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
*****Must have Degree (or equivalent) in engineering discipline.******
Must have Engineering/Design house experience
Must have experience working on FPSO projects
Must have major Shipyard experience
