The Company:
Major operator is seeking a Project HSE Advisor for a 2 year + opportunity in West Houston

The Role:

Ensure development and timely delivery of HSSE deliverables, as required by MPCP Guidelines and OMS, including working with Project Services Lead to verify proper review and approval.
o Participate in project meetings as necessary to assist/advise Leadership Team (LT) in HSSE matters.
o Participate in EDR/PHSSERs and Formal Safety Assessments (FSA) including, but not limited to, Design Safety Reviews and HAZOP/HAZID studies.
o Monitor the progress of resulting HSSE action items, and ensure they are being tracked.
o Liaise with Project Delivery Manager and Team Leads as necessary for consistent application of design specifications, Assurance, Quality and Integrity Management program requirements.
o Actively support a culture of commitment to the Environment, Safety and Operational Integrity.
o Advise the LT on HSSE issues, including regulatory and environmental requirements.
o Establish two-way communication and interface with the central HSSE teams, with emphasis on Environmental and Regulatory tags, to ensure all project HSSE deliverables are completed when required.
o Represent company as HSSE Lead at contractor meetings to facilitate understanding of project requirements.
o Monitor status and advise Project Team on their applicable HSSE-related training courses, as required.
o Ensure the quality, distribution, approval and proper retention of all HSE-related documents.
o Assist Project Leads in the bridging of contractor’s HSSE programs to those of company standards.
o Develop HSSE KPIs and monitor the performance measures of project contractors, and coordinate work-in-progress reviews as necessary or required.
o Supervise the assignment and coordination of onsite third-party HSSE Reps, if required.
o Participate as requested on incident investigations or emergency management teams.
o Support the STOP and SOC Programs, Incident Reporting and Tr@ction tracking processes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience & Knowledge Essential
Preferred • 5-10 years relevant experience, college degree
• Ability to participate as Safety Officer in On-Call Rotation for Crisis Management Team as required.
• Ability to participate as Root Cause Specialist for incident investigations in On-Call Rotation as required.
