The Company:
Our client is a global operator in the Oil & Gas industry

The Role:
The Project HSE Adviser will be responsible for the occupational HSE related activities and input to the project on behalf of the client, to ensure the safe & successful delivery of the project, whilst ensuring QHSE requirements & risks are managed according to company policies / standards / processes, industry best practices and standards, and in meeting regulatory requirements.

roject client Occ. HSE supervision & activities, including:

• Occ. HSE input to engineering design, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning activities of a major offshore oil & gas project,
• Strong focus on supervising/coordinating/supporting the HSE aspects of construction, transportation & installation, hook up & commissioning activities at yards and offshore,
• Support delivering the HSE plan & PLANC processes,
• Support evaluating contract/procurement ITT bids and conducting contractor audits as required (HSE aspects),
• Develop contractor HSE interface/bridging arrangements & monitor contractor HSE performance as per requirements,
• Support project HSE risk management, including risk assessments (HAZIDs, HAZOPs, SIMOPS, HIRAs, JSAs etc), risk registers and action tracking/close out,
• Provide input to document reviews, design reviews etc,
• Support/input to Project HSE performance reporting,
• Support incident investigations & implementing lessons learned
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, standards, & processes, taking steer from the Projects QHSE Team Leader,
• Ensure compliance with UK legislation, and alignment with industry best practices and standards,
• Support on/offshore HSE audits/reviews of contractors & activities as required,
• Support the development and/or implementation of HSE initiatives and the required culture in the project.
• Provide/coordinate delivery of the project HSE induction and training requirements,
• Manage/coordinate HSE expert 3rd parties as required in support of specific work scopes.
• Support the development/implementation of the emergency response management requirements for project activities.
• Provide strong focus/input w.r.t. Human Factors, HSE culture, Hydrocarbon Release Prevention, and other industry/regulatory HSE focus areas.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• The successful applicant will preferably be degree/diploma qualified (or equivalent technical background) preferably in QHSE related engineering/science discipline, and hold relevant/direct QHSE qualifications (eg NEBOSH, IOSH etc).
• Have relevant experience in major oil & gas CAPEX development projects (including construction, T&I and HUC), preferably in the UKCS environment.
• Have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
• Previous HSE supervisory experience advantageous.
• Trained in Incident Investigation & RCA techniques.
• Offshore Survival Certificate (BOSIET/FOSIET) & medical.
• Good overall IT skills and experienced with MS Office.
