The Company:
Major operator is seeking a Project HSE Advisor for a one year + opportunity supporting multiple projects in the Gulf of Mexico. This will be an office based role in West Houston and require short trips offshore.

The Role:
Project HSE Advisors are the HSE single point of contact for the project team. They are responsible for ensuring that all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures are incorporated into project deliverables, schedules, designs and activities as necessary to accomplish project goals in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
Roles & Responsibilities
o Ensure development and timely delivery of HSE deliverables, as required by Guidelines and OMS, including working with Project Services Lead to verify proper review and approval.
o Participate in project meetings as necessary to assist/advise Leadership Team in HSE matters.
o Participate in EDR/PHSSERs and Formal Safety Assessments (FSA) including, but not limited to, Design Safety Reviews and HAZOP/HAZID studies.
o Monitor the progress of resulting HSE action items, and ensure they are being tracked.
o Liaise with Project Delivery Manager and Team Leads as necessary for consistent application of design specifications, Assurance, Quality and Integrity Management program requirements.
o Actively support a culture of commitment to the Environment, Safety and Operational Integrity.
o Advise on HSE issues, including regulatory and environmental requirements.
o Establish two-way communication and interface with the central HSE teams, with emphasis on Environmental and Regulatory tags, to ensure all project HSE deliverables are completed when required.
o Represent the company as HSE Lead at contractor meetings to facilitate understanding of project requirements.
o Monitor status and advise Project Team on their applicable HSE-related training courses, as required.
o Ensure the quality, distribution, approval and proper retention of all HSE-related documents.
o Assist Project Leads in the bridging of contractor’s HSSE programs to those of standards.
o Develop HSE KPIs and monitor the performance measures of project contractors, and coordinate work-in-progress reviews as necessary or required.
o Supervise the assignment and coordination of onsite third-party HSE Reps, if required.
o Participate as requested on incident investigations or emergency management teams.
o Support the EASY/STOP and SOC Programs, Incident Reporting and tracking processes.

Specialist/Specific Duties:
Participate as Root Cause Specialist for incident investigations in On-Call Rotation as required.
