The Company:
A Major Oil & Gas Operator.

The Role:
This position will oversee the HSSE programs of the Company and its EPC contractors to ensure the goal of Goal Zero, that no harm-no leaks, is realized. The position will be responsible for the various planning, execution and delivery of various HSSE initiatives for site preparation, logistics and construction activities.

- Implement the P&T HSSE Management Systems on site; most importantly, the Personal Safety and Contractor Safety Manuals of the HSSE & SP Control Framework
- Coordinates activities with the EPCM contractor and major subcontractors to ensure delivery to project plans and standards.
- Implement an Behavioral Based Cultural program on the project
- Develop the HSE competencies and training,
- - Serve on the site HSSE Committee
- Support, advice and challenge Construction Management on HSE matters.
- Monitor compliance with company and regulatory requirements, initiate corrective actions
- Interface with Construction Management, Project Management, EPCM, line supervision, contractors and subcontractors and other stakeholders on HSE issues.
- Serve as the resource for interpretation of construction regulations.
- Identifies high risk areas or activities in the project and ensures adequate risk management tools are applied to mitigate the risks. Provide expertise as required internally or externally.
- Ensure Occupational Health and welfare provisions for workers meet project and Government standards.
- Administer the incident information management process including participation in serious incident investigation meetings.
- Ensure HSE performance analysis is carried out to identify trends and develops mitigation actions as required.
- Contribute to Constructability Reviews, Logistical Studies and Model Reviews as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years HSSE experience in the construction industry including managing construction HSSE activities on a world scale (>5000 personnel) projects
- Prior experience in Hazard assessment/Risk assessment processes.
- Applying HS&E statutes and regulations and company HS&E standards.
- Previous experience in a Team Lead position
