The Role:
Project HSSE Advisors are the HSSE single point of contact for the project team. They are responsible for ensuring that all HSSE policies, guidelines and procedures are incorporated into project deliverables, schedules, designs and activities as necessary to accomplish project goals in a safe and environmentally sound manner.

Responsibilities

oEnsure development and timely delivery of HSSE deliverables, as required by MPCP Guidelines and OMS, including working with Project Services Lead to verify proper review and approval. oParticipate in project meetings as necessary to assist/advise Leadership Team (LT) in HSSE matters. oParticipate in EDR/PHSSERs and Formal Safety Assessments (FSA) including, but not limited to, Design Safety Reviews and HAZOP/HAZID studies. oMonitor the progress of resulting HSSE action items, and ensure they are being tracked. oLiaise with Project Delivery Manager and Team Leads as necessary for consistent application of design specifications, Assurance, Quality and Integrity Management program requirements. oActively support a culture of commitment to the Environment, Safety and Operational Integrity. oAdvise the LT on HSSE issues, including regulatory and environmental requirements. oEstablish two-way communication and interface with the central HSSE teams, with emphasis on Environmental and Regulatory tags, to ensure all project HSSE deliverables are completed when required. oRepresent company as HSSE Lead at contractor meetings to facilitate understanding of project requirements. oMonitor status and advise Project Team on their applicable HSSE-related training courses, as required. oEnsure the quality, distribution, approval and proper retention of all HSE-related documents. oAssist Project Leads in the bridging of contractor’s HSSE programs to those of company standards. oDevelop HSSE KPIs and monitor the performance measures of project contractors, and coordinate work-in-progress reviews as necessary or required. oSupervise the assignment and coordination of onsite third-party HSSE Reps, if required. oParticipate as requested on incident investigations or emergency management teams. oSupport the STOP and SOC Programs, Incident Reporting and Tr@ction tracking processes.

Experience & Knowledge Essential

Preferred•5-10 years relevant experience, college degree •Ability to participate as Safety Officer in On-Call Rotation for Crisis Management Team as required. •Ability to participate as Root Cause Specialist for incident investigations in On-Call Rotation as required. Skills/Behaviours CommentsPOSITION REPORTS TO: Functional Lead: GoM GPO Subsea HSSE Lead / GoM GPO HSSE Manager Line Manager: Typically the AGM/PGM. May report to a Project Manager. Guru or strategic business consultants position requiring a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years exp unless otherwise noted
