The Role:
The Company operates the FPS Terminals assets within the Central Belt of Scotland which processes, transports & stores crude oil from multiple operators within the North Sea. The assets are top tier CoMAH sites and operate under a PPC based environmental regime. Additionally they represent key sites of strategic economic importance both to Company and the UK Government.
The scope of the role is that of an HSSE leader within the project whose scope covers a range on and off site activities associated with safety instrumented systems, fire and gas logic & field instrumentation, power supplies systems & buildings, conversion of TDC 3000 to ASM graphics, replacement of SIL rated field equipment , leak detection systems, HVAC systems & control room modifications.
We’ll look to you to provide HSSE leadership, advice, guidance and support for all phases of the project. You’ll also provide assurance, including performance monitoring and reporting for HSSE metrics, monthly performance reviews for the FPS Terminals Leadership team.

Leading the project on the ground HSSE team, you’ll ensure that there is a proactive approach to compliance with Company project processes. We’ll also expect you to define and manage our contractors’ HSSE scope of work, monitoring and reviewing deliverables and to integrate them into other Company-led project activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Practical experience in the delivery of HSSE leadership in a project environment.
NEBOSH qualification.
You’ll need a track record of delivering and leading HSSE performance, combined with extensive experience of project engineering. Your awareness of design engineering should be combined with proven skills in managing the HSSE performance of contractors and vendors. You should also have experience of applying a staged-gate project management process.

Ideally your experience is related to oil and gas or chemicals operations. You’ll be at a distinct advantage with a background in implementing onshore brownfield projects and modifications. However, it’s essential that you have strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills - plus a good understanding of business drivers.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Significant experience related to Oil & Gas or Chemicals Operations preferably including specific experience in implementing onshore Brownfield projects / modifications.
