The Role:
-Responsible for supporting the day to day HSSE needs of the WID Project and managing project HSSE Subordinates.
-Responsible for identifying and implementing processes and procedures that deliver Dana Petroleum’s overall HSSE strategy and business objectives on the WID Project.
-Providing project management and teams with support, expertise, direction and guidance to deliver the WID to First Oil.

•Provide leadership and management of the Western Isles Project HSSE team in delivery of the project for first oil. [Direct Reports:- HSE Advisor; Operations HSE Advisor; Verification Engineer & Technical Safety Engineer]
•Provide assurance that the project has effective HSSE systems and processes in place.
•Monitor to assure compliance with UK Regulatory Requirements, Industry Best Practice, Company Policy, Strategy, Objectives and Plans.
•Support the Project Delivery Managers to implement HSSE Processes, Objectives and Plans and develop and enhance these as necessary throughout the project.
•Deliver accurate and timely HSSE reporting to meet Company and Stakeholder requirements.
•Provide analysis of project HSSE data and key information that identifies improvement areas that actions and facilitates decision-making.
•Ensure all project incidents are investigated, the root causes are identified and effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
•Ensure that the all HSSE managed activities are budgeted and monitor expenditure to ensure cost effective delivery within agreed financial limits
•Liaise with UK HSE Team in its interface with the Regulators for Project related matters.
•Liaise with project Operations Team in development of approved Safety Case; Environmental Permits and Performance Standards required for First Oil.
•Input to subcontractor HSSE management through development of Interface Documents and Audit and Assurance activities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualified (Preferred)
•Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (Preferred)
•Oil and gas experience ideally gained in an upstream operating or Oil and gas project environment
•Previous HSEQ experience in UK Deployed Projects; with FPSO experience preferable.
•Demonstrates strong team-building and management experience with a reputation for building high performing teams while creating an environment that fosters commitment to a common vision and openness of knowledge sharing.
•Displays business acumen and judgment, as well as professional maturity.
•Results-oriented, articulate, persuasive.
•Highest standards of ethical and professional behaviour, consistent with the company’s values and business conduct policies.
