The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:

• Management of running reports from SAP and finance systems
• Creation of spend vs investment
• Management, facilitation and coordination of financial activities to support Projects Managers, Functional Managers and the Head of Department.
• Support technical deliverables by expediently delivering all assigned tasks to meet business needs and associated timescales.


• Reporting to Functional manager
• Supporting 3 Functional Managers, 3 project managers and the Head of Department to meet financial and project related activities required
• No direct reports but expected to support and advise engineers/technicians/suppliers on financial status and requirements
• Liaises with all levels within the business up to and including Senior Managers in all functions.


• Generating business cases and investment
• Able to create, analyse and summarise capacity plans for EGP management
• Reporting budget performance including ascertaining reasons for deviation from forecasts.
• Generation & maintenance of department operating and project financial plans.
• Liaison with Senior Engineers to define:
o Future project budget requirements
o D&D, materials, travel and other requirements within project budget
o Project budget reforecasts and management
o Cost reduction opportunities, risks and project content change budget requirements.
• Tracking and forecasting of budgets and external D&D orders.
• Compilation of monthly budget status (approved, spend to date and remaining spend) for each functional area within the department
• Co-ordination of functional budget inputs into Department/Project budget and management of historical budget increase or decreases
• Department representative at higher level budget review meetings


• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of all department Budgeting, Forecasting and associated reporting requirements. Liaison with internal and external customers to achieve competent results.


• Minimum ‘A’ Levels/Graduate preferred.
• Highly skilled in numerical data manipulation, analysis and presentation.
• Expert user of MS Excel and ability to quickly learn and use other associated software packages.
• Knowledge and experience of automotive engineering development desirable.


• 2 years previous finance experience
• Able to prioritise tasks and manage own workload to meet strict deadlines.
• Matured verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Flexible, adaptable and pro-active in attitude to work.
• Previous Bentley experience would be advantageous.
