The Role:
• Lead work activities of the Project Management Team (PMT) responsible for managing timely completion of FEED activities of the selected Enginering Contractor.
• Lead work activities of the PMT to complete pre-EPC activities including development of EPC Invitation to Tender (ITT) package, EPC bidding, securing Shareholder funding for EPC, Gate 3 deliverables, and approval and EPC contract award.
• Secure support, as needed, to successfully complete FEED, development of EPC ITT package, EPC bidding, Shareholder funding for EPC, Gate 3 deliverables, and EPC contract award.
•Complete FEED and pre-EPC activities safely, on schedule and withing approved budget.
•Monitor and ensure FEED Contractor compliance to project specifications and completion of FEED deliverables including definitive cost and schedule estimate to support ITT package.
•Lead PMT to complete review and approval of FEED Contractor deliverables per master document register.
•Manage implementation of project risk assessment activities including HAZOPs, design readiness reviews, risk assessments, constructability reviews, and 30% model review.
•Assist Onshore Engineering Manager in liaising with Onshore PMT to allow necessary and timely interface coordination while placing minimal demands onto Onshore PMT for support.
•Facilitate training for staff as required including development of young National professionals.
•Provide timely and accurate reporting on project progress and issues to senior management and project stakeholders.
•Liaise with Operations to gather lessons learned from previous projects and to identify / resolve technical issues / interfaces.
•Lead and provide timely and effective guidance (e.g. business, engineering, quality) in order to progress work consistent with the project objectives.
•Work interactively with other Departments to maintain alignment on key technical and commercial issues associated with project planning and execution.
•Transition into EPC phase of project (i.e., post Gate 3 approval) in a position appropriate for the candidates experience and knowledge base.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science in Engineering
•Good written and verbal communication skills
•Good supervisory skills.
•Good organization and planning skills.
•Broad knowledge of project management systems and procedures.
•Minimum of ten (10) years broad experience in all project phases i.e. leadership, engineering, fabrication, installation, systems completion, commissioning, and start-up. At least five (5) years specific involvement in onshore facilities.
•Minimum of five (5) years as an engineering manager, engineering lead, or lead project engineer for a large project. Worldwide experience with contractors and vendors in particular those involved in the construction of onshore facilities.
•Middle East project experience preferred.
