The Role:
Assignment Scope: Provides oversight to the overall planning and funding to ensure an environmental and safe execution of a project. Oversees establishment of realistic cost, schedule and progress targets for the project which are in line with the commercial requirements of the Business. Identifies and develops plans to manage areas of risk. Leads, organizes, and controls all project work in a manner that ensures that project objectives are met or exceeded. Responsible for all project deliverables. Ensures alignment between the project and other Company stakeholders including development engineering, operations, BU management, co-ventures and regulatory authorities. Ensures that critical project control documents and procedures are developed and maintained, such as project execution plan, master schedule, resource plan, and contract strategy. Ensures approval of necessary consent applications from relevant authorities.

Typically requires 10-15 years of experience. Provides oversight to professional and/or lead staff. Responsibilities may include several technical/functional areas. Resolves complex problems. Provides input to development of technical/functional strategies and ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Decisions are guided by functional objectives.

Consultant will provide mechanical oversite, job direction, and generate documentation for the 2016 turnaround pre-work and execution.

The 2016 Alpine Shutdown includes a complete major overhaul of 2 GE Frame V Gas Turbines including:

• Complete replacement of rotors and associated stationary hardware, i.e., stator blades, turbine nozzles, transition pieces, combustion liners, bearings, seals, etc.
• C1 turbine Hot Section advanced material upgrade
• Load gearbox inspections
• Auxiliary gearbox overhaul
• 5 piece gas turbine train alignment

Primary Duties;
• Support and direct the pre work that includes oversite of the critical parts inspection and tracking at Alpine or off site
• Support offsite rotor alignment offsite and final onsite inspection and checkout
• Develop the initial documentation work sheets
• Manage the techs in high risk tasks e.g., rotor rigging and handling
• Provide site specific turbine training and guidance
• Promote the CPAI Safety culture for the contract mechanics
• Give job direction as needed to maintain a smooth safe job flow
• Manage all high tech assemblies and include written and photo documentation
• Participate in the daily safety tool box meeting
• Generate a running data log of all the work as it is done
• Generate a final report that includes, technical data, daily log, and a photo documentation to be put in the S/drive
• Attend the daily planning update meetings
• Provide technical expertise at all times and provide more flexibility for the leads to manage the overall work scope
• Manage all high tech assemblies and include written and photo documentation
• Generate a final report that includes, technical data, daily log, and photo documentation

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Required / Preferred Skills;
• 20 years of field experience in hands on overhaul of gas fired turbines including GE Frame units
• 10 years in an overhaul planning and craft lead role
• Hands on experience with rotor balancing, train alignment, gearbox overhauls, and other gas turbine auxiliary systems
• Computer skills including SAP maintenance management software working experience
• A proven commitment to safety excellence
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
• North Slope specific machinery skills and experience (preferred)
