The Company:
A major, international oil and gas company

The Role:
Please note that this position will, for a short period, be based in London before transfer to site on 28/28 rotation basis.

To organise and control all Vendor and EPC Contractor inspection and release activities associated with the Project. Engage with third parties and act as focal point and conduit between Vendors, EPC Contract JV Engineering and Algerian Certification Authorities. In addition be able to conduct audits and inspection utilising third party specialist contractors.

Conduct assessments to ensure that the elements of Company performance standards and operating procedures are being implemented. Establish and maintain adequate and appropriate monitoring and auditing processes. Present themselves and their advice in an independent and effective manner.

Responsibilities and Duties:

􀂃 Coordinate and direct field inspection activities.
􀂃 Organise and control a number of Field Inspectors.
􀂃 Organise and control Certification Engineers.

Project Execution.
􀂃 Carry out specific QA/QC activities as detailed in the Project Quality Plan and Project Execution Plan and instructed by the Project Engineering Manager.
􀂃 Ensure compliance with Project Inspection/Verification strategy.
􀂃 Review Vendor and EPC Contractor Quality Plans, ITP’s and Procedures.
􀂃 Be fully familiar with Project QA/QC Procedures and requirements.
􀂃 Be familiar with International/Algerian verification, inspection and release procedures.
􀂃 Monitor and close out EPC Contractor non conformances.
􀂃 Review EPC Contractor Certification Dossiers and present to Algerian Inspection Authorities.
􀂃 Monitor EPC Contractor Quality performance and report to JV Project Management.
􀂃 Conduct external and internal audits as directed and deemed necessary.
􀂃 Review EPC design and engineering documentation, requisitions, supplier documentation, inspection reports and their distribution.
􀂃 Liaise with Construction Management.
􀂃 Review and Acceptance of Mechanical Completion Records
􀂃 Liaise with JV Procurement and Contract Management Services.
􀂃 Recruit and organise Field Inspector’s and Field Activities including internal reporting.
􀂃 Develop and run Project Close out plan including As Built documentation to archive.

􀂃 Comply with JV HSSE rules and lead by example.
􀂃 Posses a strong commitment to HSSE values and demonstrates such by establishing a credible inspection capability with in the project environment.
􀂃 Promote a high standard of HSSE behaviour with in the Field Inspection team and EPC Contractor organisation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
􀂃 Member of the Institute of Quality Assurance or holder of appropriate qualifications e.g. IRCA Auditor, ASNT/CSWIP or a minimum 10 years experience in a senior QA/QC role with in the petrochemical industry.

􀂃 Minimum 10 years experience as Lead QA/QC Engineering experience within Oil and Gas sector
􀂃 Previous overseas experience in remote desert location desirable
􀂃 Previous EPC experience representing the client.
􀂃 Open-minded and good team-player.
