The Role:
Overview:

- As a result of continued growth in their regional offices, our client is seeking an experience Project Leader to join the Darwin Engineering team.
- As the Project Leader, you will liaise closely with the Project Manager to coordinate and manage the project team including client liaison. cost control, scheduling and team management.
- The main projects covered by this role are Brownfield modifications on Rio Tinto Alcan Gove and ERA Uranium production facility.

Responsibilities:

- Facilitate and develop a productive and cohesive team
- Ensuring the conformity of specifications and plans within laws, regulations and safety standards pertaining to design, construction and operation
- Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system
- Review and finalisation of project procedures in consultation with key project personnel
- Responsible for ensuring the project team is contractually aware of their respective responsibilities, scopes of work and deliverables
- Maintain positive working relationships with key customers and provide regular feedback and updates on the status of projects

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Right to work in Australia
- Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent years experience
- Solid background in delivering projects within the heavy industry sector
- Experience in management of small teams of Engineers and Designer/Drafters
- Highly effective communication skills
- Ability to build robust customer relationships will be viewed highly favourably for this role
