generated just under EUR 132 billion in sales. The position is with a new unit of our client which started its operations in June 2012. The mandate is to lead the expansion of Client’s activities in the fast growing market for distributed energy – one of
their three pillars of growth, next to renewables and growth outside of Europ

The Role:
Our client is looking for their Department Special Projects in Essen for a/an Project Management Associate to reinforce its M&A, integration and other project
management capabilities as direct report to the Head of Special Projects.

Your Responsibilities :

- Conduct comprehensive research, market and business analyses, feasibility studies and build comprehensive business cases and financial models for integration and change management projects
- Support the team on complex, cross-functional acquisition, integration and other corporate development projects
- Derive summary conclusions and recommendations to be captured in detailed presentations for discussion with senior management
- Collaboration with ECT’s business and functional units as well as other constituents within the Group.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Excellent university degree in business administration, economics, engineering or comparable education; top grades in analytically-oriented subjects; MBA or other advanced degrees a plus
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience gained in a project-oriented role, typically within management consulting, investment banking or corporate development ideally in an international environment, first high achievements
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, results-oriented approach and sound business judgment
- Excellent in interacting with people of varying cultures; comfortable with working in a start-up environment with flat hierarchies; high level of motivation and wiliness to roll up sleeves; resilience and own initiative
- Highly developed communication skills and team spirit
- A customer satisfaction and needs driven orientation
- Excellent English written and spoken; other languages are a plus (e.g. German, Russian, Italian)
- Experienced in using IT and software
