The Company:
Our Client is a major petrochemical company in Qatar.

The Role:
The incumbent will assist the Enterprise Project Management Office to ensure projects achieve expected business results.

• Assist in, maintaining and enforcing a comprehensive project management methodology that remains adaptable to the emerging needs of a dynamic and growing organization
• Partner with senior managers to assign priorities, determine resource allocations and define project interdependencies
• Assist the PMO team coordinating, allocating and assigning project management resources
• Coordinate project progress relative to scope, schedules, costs, resources, quality and risks
• maintain a resourcing plan; undertaking recruitment and selection as required to meet emerging business needs
• Provide day to day assistance to Project Manager
• Assist the Head of PMO to Develop and maintain the PMO vision, inclusive of annual continuous improvement plan
• Identify, recommend and implement business process improvements
• Will develop and apply industry best practices in managing the day to day activities of projects.
• Collaborate with all teams in developing project plans, will gather project status efficiently and will lead forward looking, action oriented status meetings.
• Project Planning. Assist in creation the proposal, planning and estimating of large scale projects including; facilitating the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables; Define project tasks and resource requirements; developing full scale project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements, coordinate with other Project Managers, as appropriate, to ensure the plans are integrated and synchronized with all team members to provide reasonable assurance that projects are successfully delivered.
• Project Monitoring and Control. Manages day-to-day aspects of project(s) and scope. Implements and manages large scale projects, changes, corrective actions, and interventions to achieve project outputs with minimal supervision from Director, Program Management. Manage project budget. Track project deliverables using appropriate tools. Manage requests for changes and prioritize work based on business needs and available resources.
• Prepare project minutes, issues, risks, schedules and reports
• Produce a variety of project information
• Escalate issues and status changes as appropriate to PMO head
• Update and publish Master Schedule
• Participate in Project Reviews with management
• Review and revise associated PMO tools & templates
• Assist in process improvement efforts
• Assist in defining and reporting departmental metrics
• Protect company proprietary and confidential information
• Assist with the Project Approval Committee process. Assess existing organization project portfolio; ensure projects add value to organization and contribute to achieving key performance indicators
• Identify quality control metrics useful for the initial and ongoing evaluation of new test procedures and technology platforms, and provide a preliminary range of acceptability.
• Ensure continuing development of the projects management methodology and the provision of support
• application of the methodology by Project Managers across the organisation
• Assist the Supervisor in the preparation of weekly internal project status reports.
• Contribute towards the change enablement process to phase in special projects and initiatives.
• Assist continuing development of the project and program reporting system that feeds required information into
• organisation-wide reporting frameworks
• Assist in appropriate post project review processes are undertaken to monitor the delivery of project benefits

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
University degree in IT/Computer engineering/ MIS or equivalent from a recognized university
PMP is desired

Around 5 years of experience in Project and change management preferably in Chemical / Petrochemical Industry or from a leading management organization
