The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Key Responsibilities This role will be responsible for the Project Management /co-ordination and delivery of Pre Programmes and processes as appropriate, giving the opportunity to develop core project management skills in an interesting and varied environment at the heart of our new programme planning and delivery activities.
The Department ensures that all support functions are engaged & have robust plans in place to deliver the cycle plan, thereby giving the candidate a complete understanding of Enterprise delivery process.
Reporting to the Pre Project Manager, the primary role will be the delivery of projects through the clients processes to deliver Cycle Plan & model year actions. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:-
Co-ordinate and lead programme team members and functional representatives in the planning, co-ordination, delivery, approval and reporting of those projects using PCS and other company processes as required.
Co-ordinate the weekly Programme Steering Team and drive the team in the use of the PCS I-3 tool to manage the completion of deliverables for programme milestone approvals.
Co-ordinate X1 prototype planning and lead the BoM validation of prototype builds including material supply tracking in conjunction with Engineering , Finance and Manufacturing team members.
Support the compilation of the PS PDL, including resource requirement's, and feature definition.
Create and manage the Project handover documentation and obtain alignment and concurrence.
Support in the Co-ordination of Project Management resource planning , assisting in the placement and movement of programme Management resources within delivery teams, providing status of resources and programmes

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experienced track record of Project Management delivery in complex projects. Product Develop knowledge and PD processes and programme delivery principles are essential.
A good working knowledge of the Automotive development inc Technical Change Management processes are desirable, in order to support the review and approval of feasible product actions, and so ensure robust implementation and compatibility with downstream systems through to production.
Good communication, interpersonal skills, self-confidence and a 'passion for the product' are personal qualities needed to succeed in this environment, being self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
Experience of project or supplier management, meeting demanding timescales, budget control and cost-effective delivery would be beneficial.
