The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
This role within the Electrical Programmes team is responsible for the Project Management of new product introduction. The Electrical Programmes department is the interface between Electrical Engineering and the Programme teams. Responsibilities include project management to support delivery of programmes according to the company's gateway process, co-ordination of project reviews and maintaining metrics on programme health. The successful candidate will work with Project Engineers to ensure on time delivery of components and systems to appropriate targets (cost, weight, functionality, etc). The role will be responsible for the development from concept to product launch for one or more of the Company's programmes' Electrical Engineering content. During prototype build phases the role will be based at the manufacturing site, Solihull.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Positive, dynamic, confident manner
- Comfortable coordinating the work of others across Electrical engineering
- Confident in presenting to Senior Management
- Able to manage a high work load and prioritise
- Self starter, able to motivate others
- Comfortable working with data and skilled user of MS Excel & Powerpoint
- Previous experience in a Project Engineering or Programmes Engineer role is required.
- A full driving licence is essential

The candidate must be able to demonstrate successful delivery through the application of a Project Management system. A technical appreciation of Electrical Engineering is useful but most important are the personal qualities which have supported the successful delivery of previous projects.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in the Project Management of Electrical Automotive components and systems, and in particular the specific Electrical activities (such as EMC), would be advantageous but is not essential. Some experience of a vehicle manufacturing environment would also be an advantage.
