The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
Our client is looking to engage in a Project Manager on a contract basis to be Accountable for the delivery of the automation and telecommunications project scope, encompassing engineering, procurement, acceptance testing as well as support to construction and commissioning.

This will be on a 19/9 rotation to the Surat Basin.

As Project Execution Manager for the main automation works as part of a billion dollar CSG project you will be responsible for a team 7 Engineers and oversee the contractor.

Responsibilites Include:

- Developing, coordinate and control all project management activities to deliver all elements of the Automation project scope
- Review the automation and control scope on a pan-system basis to ensure all scope is captured and being executed to allow a seamless start between the execution streams
- Give project representation during Functional and Readiness Reviews
- Develop and implement plans to ensure compliance with project objectives
- Build and develop Project Management capability as required during the course of the project
- Deliver the project to the sanctioned cost, schedule and performance criteria
- Liaise with the Execution GMs, Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning and Operations Interface and be responsible for all interfaces and managed and controlled against the integrated schedule.
- Ensure readiness for commissioning and handover is planned and agreed with the operations function
- Manage the development and control of project budgets and schedules
- Ensure the project and financial control systems are implemented and any deviations reported and managed.
- Lead the identification of risks and eliminate or implement mitigation measures. Capitalise on potential opportunities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary engineering qualifications in control and/or instrumentation
• Chartered Member of a relevant engineering institution
