The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Cross Car line system engineering issues management using the appropriate tools
Ensure system alignment between Electrical department and programmes teams, other engineering departments and, other functions - service, manufacturing, etc.
Ensure total system targets cascaded from the programme to Electrical department are appropriate to required content and achievable - cost, investment, weight.
Ensure system sign off is achieved and facilities/vehicles are available / allocated to allow completion of requested system / sub system, component testing work.
Co-ordinate Cross Car line system engineering of bill of material validation exercises, releases and HMI alignment.
Clarify requirements to succeed through clear interpretation of deliverables to engineers for full system development and validation.
Support consistent Project Reviews and senior reviews to a set format to explain complex systems.
Weekly publication of programme status sheet and updates of deliverables against each system
Co-ordination and tracking of system, sub system testing and development status for sign-off and reporting
This involves full system support and issue resolution as well as assistance with electrical engineering processes and procedures (GRADE, DT’s, etc).
Responsibility for system DV test planning and testing ensuring FMS usage database is maintained.
Ensure vehicles are requested and test slots booked, as well as being responsible for test results and ensuing issue resolution plans. Co-ordination and tracking of engineering releases

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. Experience of working in system engineering projects (Project Manager experience)
2. Managing system engineering overall finance impact
3. System engineering Document Management to ensure compliance to processes and procedures

System engineering Project Manager
PRINCE2 APM Protect Management Good communicator.
System engineering practise Business Studies Degree
Ability to lead the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment
Self motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active, demonstrates initiative, with ability to work with minimum supervision.
Experience in developing new system engineering processes and procedures to improve quality and delivery.
Able to demonstrate good system engineering project management experience and a track record of successful project delivery.
Excellent communication skills, PC literate, especially MS office
Presentation skills - explaining complex systems
Full driving Licence
