The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
Project Manager As a Project Manager within JLR's Engineered-To-Order (ETO) Division you will be responsible for ensuring key products, ranging from vehicle accessories to whole vehicle limited editions, are delivered to cost, time and quality targets. You will need to coordinate all necessary actions within the division working across functional areas such as engineering, manufacturing, finance, sales and marketing, as well as liaise with other JLR divisions and external suppliers. You will need to lead the resolution of cross-functional issues and report the project status to senior management on a regular basis via a range of communication channels including project team meetings, gateway papers and night letters.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills Required:
Excellent knowledge of project management tools and methods. Good working knowledge of automotive vehicle systems eg. vehicle accessories, vehicle exteriors, vehicle interiors, vehicle electrical systems, electronics, chassis and powertrain. Good working knowledge of business case inputs, tools and calculations eg TFLE, PBT, IRR. Good working knowledge of engineering principles relevant to the design, development, testing and manufacture of automotive products. Good working knowledge of systems and tools used to develop engineering solutions eg CAD, CAE, FMEA, DFA. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential to liaising with a number of internal and external parties, and coordinating a wide range of cross-functional work tasks. PC Fluent (Email, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Experience Required:
Experience of working in a technically biased project management role.

Education Required:
It is anticipated candidates with be educated to Degree L

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Skills Preferred:
Working knowledge of JLR product creation and project management tools (PDLs, GPDS, PCS) Knowledge of project management systems used in automotive applications Working knowledge of JLR issue tracking and release systems eg. BOM, AIMS, WERS Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly tooling methods and lead-times.

Experience Preferred:
Experience of working in a similar or technical role within the automotive industry, with demonstrable track record of delivery.
