The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Exhausts Module Leader Jaguar and Land Rover Forward Programs Role Definition:
- Working with the Component Engineering Team, lead the design / package and test / development of the system from early concept through to production.
- Maintain accurate programme status and report out to Management at the appropriate reviews.
- Control: Cost, Weight, Quality and Timing of the components within the system for each phase of build through to production.
- Control supplier inputs, whether system or component related.
- Ensure that the appropriate processes are implemented to support the programme. ie. GPDS, EFDVS, DFMEA, DVP & ESOW.
- Release the components via the WERS releasing system.
- Maintain an issue management tracker. Update issue status via the AIMS system.
- Ensure that processes support the vehicle programme and company objectives such as relating to ISO 9000, QS9000, ISO14001 and all company procedures.
- Ensure that test and development programmes (both JLR and supplier based) meet the performance objectives and customer expectations.

Additional Information :
"The Role is principally based at Whitley, but meeting support at other JLR Midlands facilties will be required. Candidate must have a full (preferably clean, UK) driving license

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Understanding and experience of design of Automotive Exhaust Systems, including design, Advanced Quality Planning and implementation. Fluent in use of Microsoft Office packages, specifically Word, Exel, Power Point and Project
- Experience of Automotive Power Train Systems Delivery, preferably from Programme Concept/Kick Off to production. Working with and managing supplier responsibilities.
- Candidate must be enthusiastic, with a positive approach with the ability to proactively communicate within and outside of the department.
- Educated to Degree or equivalent level in a related Mechanical or Automotive discipline

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience of JLR Engineering Systems, especially WERS, GPDS, AIMS
- Experience of Jaguar & Land Rover Engineering Systems, especially WERS, FPDS, AIMS Familiarity with advanced emissions systems for Diesel & Gasoline engine applications
